IN order not to confuse the issue, I will post the letter that may help us pave a way forward here- we will use the an open records law to get the prisoner complaints on certain bad acting staff members at GBCI and WCI. Changing the rotation schedule so new staff are not trained by abusing staff is something we can do soon. The proof will be in the numbers of these complaint and their gravity.
Jeff Poff has also giving us names of staff in WCI who are big engines of abuse there. Once we get going with this, more WCI prisoners will feel safe enough to work with us and connect us with their families.
That same open records tactic was used in 2014 by the then investigative reporter Bill Lueders. He got us a USDOJ investigation. Trouble is , they did not stick around long enough to secure real change- this time is will be different. What did cone out of the 2014 news articles ,however, was the use of body cameras for the guards, in certain prison, in certain areas.

I'm writing because this prison has been on the news a lot. The staff here is the most corrupt people I know, On 726 ,today, they got the corrupt captain Jay Vanlan working in rhu and some of his staff that is just like him. You got sergeant Bamke who allows his officers to walk off when an inmate cut himself, beat the inmates. The other Sergeant that's down in rhu he now work in the bath house. Captain Jay wanted them down here to train the officers, who work in rhu. Captain Jay telling them to gas the inmates with OC spray. He want the new officers to be like his old officers. He said if an inmate tell you he gone do self-harm, you use OC spray on them. Then he told them I want two officers escorting inmates when they come out of these cells but we inmates are not on two men movement. See, Captain Jay Vanlan came down here on this mess, messing with inmates but please allow me to give you the history on Captain Ja and the warden.
See back in 2017,2018, Captain Jay used to be the captain in rhu. He and his staff back then which still works here at gbci ,was mistreating inmates, beating them, not feeding them, keeping them without clothing, putting stuff in their food. There are inmates here that had these things happen to them. ,,He, Captain Jay told the PSU worker who comes to Seg to see inmates OBS or talk to inmates who wanted to do self-harm. Back then in RHU Captain Jay was in the Sergeant's office, told the PSU woman to suck his penis. She right away stopped working here. She went to the news about the matter. All they did was remove Captain Jay from seg! In 2022 April Captain Jay again and seg back to his old Behavior mistreating inmates, gassing inmates, hurting them, allowing staff to walk off when inmates cut themselves, not feeding an inmate because he put his shit all over the cell. I was down here. They refused to clean the cell he was in 205- the man didn't eat in over a week. The whole way smell like shit, PSU Amy Wolf was a allowing inmates to do self-harm, Staff was having sex in the sergeant office in the break room. There is no camera in them rooms still today. There used to be an officer named A n a l y s e M e v e i g h Who was having sex with the officers Captain's lieutenants security John kind she told me she was bringing cell phones to inmates watching them masturbate hand jobs through the traps, giving pens out to inmates. I was one of them inmates. I wrote to Kelvin Carr,ICEs, gave dates times and Deputy Warden who was back then the rhu manager was Ms J p e r t m did an investigation, Some offices lost their jobs but it was so much cover-up. And whole lot of them was supposed to lose their jobs. That's why they don't like me. I told on them -the officers woman and man.I filed so many ices to put cameras in the Sergeant's officers and in the break room. Nothing. PSU don't make rounds. You got to put in a green PSU form to self harm then they come! PSU Miss Amy Wolf was one of them having sex with the officer Co Bridges one of them. He tells us he hit that. I wrote her up looking at inmates penises and allowing me to cut myself. Captain Jay got so many lawsuits on him and inmates wrote up they moved him from up here in our Hu 2022! See they need all new captains and lieutenants in rhu. People from other institutions they can't turn! They got this new lieutenant . She comes from somewhere. She got white hair. She only been here some months. They keep putting the old staff down here in rhu and they rubbing off their behavior on the new officers. That’s why the warden Steven refuses to fill the open spots in rhu for Sergeants officers on third shift. no sergeants 2nd shift, no sergeants and officers first shift ,no officer. These spots stay open so the old staff can do all the overtime, be acting Sergeants ,officers.
Tony Evers failed to do anything about this. See the Warden used to work here as the sergeant in 2015-2016. His brother is an officer, His wife too work here ,Ms Stevens ,who is still here. His brother was in the parking lot with the sergeant wife. She was in the brother's car sucking his penis the Sergeant's brother came out and saw them They both got fighting The sergeant went to msdf I think,..,And now he back as the warden. On 7:25/24 was the first time RHU manager did rounds. to talk with inmates. He never do. I asked him: you got PC(protective custody) inmates living in seg on your range.. You put them in their cells April this year 2024 with no power for 38 days. There is no TV stand to put your TV on and the cable outlet Jack don't work. It's been 3 months going on 4 months PC inmates is living like the.This is supposed to be non-punitive status but it is not. We can't get tablets or clothing that we would have in GP. The AC inmates got TV stand cable outlet Jack working. You ask to be taken off. They refuse you. If you say you're going to jump off the cell Hall Top tier they put you on PC. and won't let you come off nor send you to other prisons that don't have tiers like wspf. They want you to go home from seg, the treatment center they got do not have any tiers,. they can put me over there, but refuse to. I can't get programming to get out with. I've been down 16 years and you want me to go home from seg. My mental messed up for being around mental illness inmates cutting themselves, hanging themselves, dying on hunger strikes. It's a lot.
Today at 7:00 a.m. officer Shrek and the new officer he was training the woman officer at my cell door 401 with medication pass. He failed to show me my medication card to make sure that my meds are mines. How can I verify meds when you don't show it to me. I explained to this to the new officer what he is doing is wrong and he's not showing you. He just popping the pills given them to me doing that he could be giving me somebody else's meds…An if I take them it could do me harm. The officer Shrek don't care what he's doing or how he's training you. this is all on his body camera and hallway cameras of the 400 range at myself 401. today 7:27-24.
My chest was hurting me and I was lightheaded. I pressed the emergency call button at 8:25. No one came.. At 8:30 a.m. the ABS Checker went to check on South 405, obs inmate. I said to the officer no one is doing 30 minute rounds. at 8:50 officer Cummings come to my cell. I said to him I pressed the button and long time ago. I told him my chest hurt. at 9:07 the new woman officer did a round and I told her my chest hurt She said I'll tell the sergeant. She came back to tell me that she told the sergeant. I said to her why y'all not doing rounds? She said I'm just doing what they tell me.The nurse came at around 9:25 am to 9:35.I told her I was hurting bad.. and I'm dizzy. She failed to pull me out to be assessed. she assessed me at my cell door front asking me this and that, then she left, went to HSE room to get a computer and they can pay to myself 401 and said you got a doctor's appointment August 6th 2024.I told her my chest is hurting bad and I'm dizzy.The inmate in OBS started to kick on his cell door telling the nurse to pull me out to be assessed.The nurse told him to shut up. Then the OBS inmate kicked the door and the officer came to get him to stop kicking, but he was saying you can't assess an inmate. the nurse never checked my blood pressure or anything. This is the second time this happened to me and the nurse assesses me at my cell door and refused me Medical Care.
She's the only nurse that do rounds on us looking at inmates penises, helping the captain Roz, captain Jay vanlan, Lieutenant King to cover up death ,overdosing, cutting theirselves. She wouldn't send them out to the hospital. It is said she's having sex with a lot of Staff here. Lieutenant here got a baby with her now. it's a a lot going on.
Staff never do Wellness checks every 30 minutes. I wrote ICEs on it to Kevin Carr, Mr Hoy, all Madison. The warden refuses to move these officers from working in seg. They've been down here 4 years plus 5 7 10 years mistreating inmates and getting away with it. They got this. Black officer,M Bridges. He has hurt, Beats, sexually mistreated alot of inmates. He got away with it. The warden will not move this officer to it a GP job. This officer cover up for these people (death?can’t read,) having sex down here and all. Hsu management never do any rounds to talk with the inmates about her staff misbehavior toward inmates,not getting proper Medical Care. Her nurses not doing rounds only Rachel who is not supposed to be down here . .
